About Me

Hey there! I’m Stephen (pronounced steh-fehn) ;) I’m a multifaceted UX/UI based in Orange County, Ca. I am currently helping build the future of social emotional learning in schools with MILLU, an early stage startup company. MILLU creates interactive kits for children and safe adults to learn more about our uniqueness and talk about deep life questions! In my role as the UX/UI Designer, I focus on all things having to do with our website and I work alongside our design and marketing team to make sure we are practicing good design thinking and putting the user at the core of our design. I have a weird habit of getting really invested in a lot of different things. I think my superpower is being able to immerse myself in a variety of creative outlets. When I approach design, I make sure to live in the problem space as long as I can. I also think outside of the box and allow my different creative outlets to help guide how I create solutions. I’m constantly learning and consistently growing.  Outside of design, I spend a lot of time working on my music and growing my repertoire of classical opera arias. I also spend too much time playing video games… but I justify that by my goal to eventually move into video game UX design. I'm passionate about people and that's why I'm a designer. The world is full of problems and if I can help someone live more freely, then I know I've done my job as a designer.
