Overview
MonoVita is an exploration of how AI can evolve from an idea generator to a genuine partner in personal goal-setting.
It helps users clarify ambitions, from career shifts to creative pursuits, through guided reflection and structured planning.
By turning open-ended goals into actionable subgoals and tasks, MonoVita acts as a personal project manager that keeps users focused, adaptive, and accountable.

Problem
There’s a clear gap in the current AI and project management space that fail to unite the strengths of each other.
AI tools like large language models inspire ideas but can lack execution for goal planning. Project management apps offer structure but lack intelligent guidance. Users are left choosing between inspiration and organization.
This can cause friction for users who want to strategize their goal journey but lack the confidence or tools to build out their first steps.

How do you keep users engaged and not overwhelmed when plotting the first steps for their goals?
There was a change in direction and foundation of the goal creation flow within MonoVita that highlights an interesting challenge with user-AI interaction.
The first flow offered more user input but introduced decision fatigue. Users were able to edit more content within their goals/subgoals but were met with friction due to decision fatigue.
The chosen flow prioritizes guided choices — reducing cognitive load and reinforcing AI as a supportive coach that provides direction when needed and flexibility when desired. This flow edges closer to a "one-shot" approach while still maintaining decent user overview.

Execution
The design focuses on creating a structured yet flexible experience that turns life goals into a clear plan.
Every screen was designed to keep users anchored in why they started, while guiding them through how to move forward.
The interface emphasizes simplicity, consistency, and calm focus — fewer distractions, more clarity. From the home overview to subgoal management, reflection, and AI interactions, each element works together to balance human intention with intelligent support.
